Preschool (= voorschool) is the first step into the Dutch school system.
Voorschool is an educational program to help children between 2 and 4 years old prepare to start the Dutch primary school.
On average, children go to preschool for one part of the day (the morning or the afternoon).
The number of days children attend preschool is mostly 2 days per week, but this varies per city and their policy.
👨👩👧👦 🔍 The preschool costs depend on income and will vary depending on the hometown/preschool of choice. In general, cost will be around 80-200 euro per month.
If you want more days/hours in the preschool (if possible), you must pay the standard fee, depending on the preschool/city.
During the admission process, you’ll be asked to provide a payslip to determine your monthly fee. Once you know which city you will live in, we can offer detailed information about the local preschool policies, ensuring you’re well-informed and prepared for this exciting new chapter.
